EA Sports UFC Review (Allview S2 Soul Pro): More Fun Than Mortal Kombat X and Featuring Tons of Trademark Combos (Video)

Usually Electronic Arts tends to let me down in both mobile and console titles. Ever since NFS Most Wanted they’ve let me down again and again, maybe except for the latest two FIFA titles. Anyway, they redeemed themselves a lot with the game EA Sports UFC, reviewed below.
Available for free in the Play Store, the game takes up over 400 MB of space and was tested by me on the Allview X2 Soul Pro handset. It has great graphics and features of ton of trademark fighters from UFC. They cost a lot to unlock, but the good news is that you get their kickass moves. You will level up your skills and stats like health, standup and ground attacks.
Your attacks get leveled up by using playing cards, that are bought as packs. Aside from tapping the screen to perform a normal attack, medium attack or a special hit, you can pin the enemy down and beat on him using swipes. A tap is a hit, a swipe is a more powerful hit and a diagonal swipe is an even more powerful strike. Swiping back allows you to dodge, which in turn can trigger very cool counters.
A two finger press on the screen will allow you to parry and after a series of successful hits, you can also trigger special moves. Those look very nice, graphically and are triggered as special moves shown on the screen as colourful animations. Keep in mind that strong hits will make you groggy, so beware of that. An interesting aspect here is the fact that life regenerates as you play.
There are 4 weighs classes here, with many trademark players, but all of them are very expensive. Live Events from the real UFC are included and keep in mind that IAPs include $100 packs used to buy gold. Keep in mind the game requires a constant Internet connection and the graphics here look better than in Mortal Kombat X in my view. Fighters look natural and their movements are fluid.
Over 70 fighters were included and the animations are very complex and varied for those guys. A recent update also added feminine fighters, by the way. We give this game a 9.3 out of 10 and you can download it here.
