  • Android 4.4 KitKat is barely rolling out, getting a bit over 1% of the entire ecosystem and already there’s talk of Android 4.4.1. The update will be based on bugfixes for the likes of Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 10 and the Nexus 7 units.

We all know that Nexus 5 needs a few bugfixes, for the likes of low volume, connectivity issues (for some) and that annoying thing with the lockscreen (once you get a phone call and it ends, you’ll be left within an unlocked device). Apparently, Android 4.4.1 has been discovered in variety of server logs at 9to5Google. There have been Android 4.4.1 devices generating traffic on the site apparently.

The traffic originated from Santa Clara, California, which is the home of the Googleplex. The average user is still waiting for an Android 4.3 update, so the Android 4.4.1 is not one of your biggest concerns. I wonder if we’ll get it in January or before the year is out.
