  • Although the Nexus 9 tablet didn’t even get Android 5.1 with the other Nexus models, there’s a fresh leak out there, showing this device running Android 5.1.1. This is a version that Google hasn’t even released yet, by the way.

The builds found here are the LMY47S and the LMY47W, for the WiFi Nexus 7 2013 and the Nexus 9 models. They have a build date of February 16th, but we have no idea when they will be rolled out. I’ll remind you that the Nexus 9 is one of the few Nexus devices stuck on Android 5.0 more than a month after Google released Android 5.1.

Since this leak was spotted courtesy of an audio latency page that’s official Google Android material, we’re pretty much sure the release is coming soon. We sure hope that the Nexus 9 won’t be neglected this time, since it truly needs to be updated. What do you think of this upcoming release?
