  • Among the enhancements that Google has brought to life with Android 4.2 there is a new way to set-up the lockscreen, including with the addition of compatible widgets. Given that not many devices benefit from the latest version of the OS, C Locker may be the perfect choice for the rest of us stuck running older versions of the OS.

In terms of apps that provide a way to completely customize the Android lockscreen the number of options is not that great.  Besides the highly popular app called WidgetLocker, developer astoncheah has now brought its own variant to life, able to provide plenty of options in this regard.

C Locker comes with options for 10 custom shortcuts you can customize to launch apps, direct call or SMS and more. With the help of another app by the same developer – C Widget you can add weather info on your lockscreen, on top of having the time, date, missed notifications and even an RSS feed already available. You can adjust the background, swipe gestures in all four directions and a lot more options this free app provides for a new lockscreen style every day.
