Angry Birds Stella Up for Download Now, Features Annoying Pay to Win/Pay to Progress Mechanisms

It has come to this… One of the most awaited titles of the fall for all of us, Angry Birds Stella has turned out to be a disappointment. You can download this free game here, but beware of its freemium mechanisms.
The title does indeed feature over 120 levels, a ton of content, new birds and powers, but it’s annoying to get to play all of them. First thing, at about 20 levels into the game a wall of smoke appears and you’re expected to pay 100 coins to progress or wait a few hours. Then 10 levels later you have to wait 3 hours and then 5 hours of pay hundreds of coins. Those are very hard to get in the game, or you can buy them with real money.
Also, the star award system now only gives you the third star if you pay up, which is also not OK. The game’s graphics are hot, I’m loving the new mechanics and the personalities of the new birds, but the backgrounds tend to be as repetitive as they were in Angry Birds Rio and actually seem recycled from there. Want to download the game? Do it at your own risk!
