Assassin’s Creed Pirates Review: Excellent Pirate Life Simulator (Video)

Assassin’s Creed Pirates is an excellent mobile game, that comes from Ubisoft and was tested by us on the LG G2 handset. The game was launched in early December and is priced at $5. This is a pirate adventure simulator, that has you playing as Alonzo Batilla, a young pirate captain that ascends in the world of pirates.
You’ll wage battles in a turn based system, that involves shooting cannons using swipe movements on the screen and waiting for the defensive sequence. That one has some dodge buttons like the ones in Infinity Blade, allowing you to shift your ship from the path of the enemy’s canon balls. You’ll be battling in the Caribbean Sea, exploring the foggy areas of the map and searching for the occasional treasure. You can upgrade your ship and your crew, triggering certain perks of the ship, like improved fog vision, better speed and better fight resilience.
The graphics are excellent here, especially the water, that is fantastically rendered. The weather and time of day will change continuously and there are 50 story and side missions to perform here and earn your keep. The missions include assassinations, deliveries of crates, ship races or simply fighting the empire’s ships and freeing a quick transport area.
You will be able to rescue slaves from the water and the atmosphere here is fascinating, as you can here the mates singing all the time, when sailing. All the action takes place on the ship, so there’s no third person action of any kind here, that doesn’t involve a ship. This is a companion title for the Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag title, that’s available right now on consoles and PC.
This is a superb game, a must buy and it gets a 10 out of 10 from us. You can download it from here.
