  • As the smartphones and tablets these days become highly indispensable  their range of usefulness is left as the task of developers to help us get the most of it. Till now we´ve had our choice of trackers for Android, ranging from sports to personal. It´s about time someone thought about the more vulnerable.

SafeT have announced and started developing a highly advanced and functional Children Tracker. It is the kind of app that runs in the background on your child’s phone or tablet and keeps tabs on the device’s whereabouts, text messages sent and received, applications installed, and calls placed and received. Given it´s high grade of usefulness, the developer wants to make sure everything is in order for a final release, especially from a compatibility standpoint, as is is capable of running on on multiple devices at the same time and providing location reports.

The app can be adjusted to update once a couple of minutes for battery conservation and uses Google Maps for tracking, location and other related functions. At the moment its functionality and interaction with other apps is rather limited though the developers are working on covering every hole. That is why version 0.9 Beta has been provided as a free download for testing and reporting purposes. Head over to the dedicated thread on XDA Developers and download the .apk. Be sure to report any issues you might find with it on your particular device.
