Bike Unchained Review (Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro): Solid Biking Game, Controls are A bit Confusing (Video)

Since I liked Red Bull’s snowboarding game on Android, I felt the need to also give their biking game a go. This game is Biking Unchained, which we played on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. It’s available for free in the Play Store and has some pretty hot graphics.
The concept is similar to the one of the Snowboarding Fourth Phase, which we hinted at above. You’ll control a mountain bike, perform tricks and do enduro runs. There are also upgrades to perform, like the frame, wheels and more, with these components coming in the form of a lottery. 69 tracks are available and you can create a team of bikers, each with special skills for a special trial.
There’s enduro, there’s downhill, slopestyle mountain and you’ll get to play with stars of this sport. Graphics are quite nice, from the background to the movement of the bike and the animations of the sports person. There are 4 locations to race in: Whistler, The Alps, Japan and Utah. Modes available for racing are Campaign, Quick Play, Contests (daily, with global goals).
One also has to repair the bike, since it gets damaged in the long run. The control involves a virtual right side thumbstick, which you’ll tap to accelerate, or keep pressed for a different running approach. The left side stick is used to perform stunts and I have to admit I didn’t quite get the system, since the stunts only seem to work half the time.
Gamers can level up, get XP and also get perks ahead of runs. What the game lacks in precise controls, it makes up in pure fun. There’s a lot of stuff to do here and races are quite varied and not exactly hard, so the pleasure of the game remains present for a long time. We give this game a 9.3 out of 10 and you can download it here.
