Bushido Bear Review (Vernee Thor): Cartoonish, Cute and Fun, Also Quite Original (Video)

When we play, we play and this time we played a game called Bushido Bear, a casual title that we tried out on the Vernee Thor handset. This game feels like Cut the Rope combined with Fruit Ninja, but also has its own original aspects.
It’s available for free in the Play Store and it’s based on swiping motions. You will trace a path close to the foes in order to dispose of them and if you hit one it’s game over. You can get a shield, unlock new bears and enemies come in waves. I like the animations and the fact that the game was fun and simple. There are also multipliers and forget about strategy, since there are randomly generated wave series every time you play.
Bears are cute and lovable here and each of them has a special ability, like slowing down time, teleporting or getting a bigger sword to play with. You can bring 3 bears to battle and perform daily missions, plus earn bears and locations. It’s a repetitive game of course and aside from the swiping, you’ll also be doing some dodging of the enemies’ projectiles by tapping the screen
There are also upgrades to perform in aspects like sword size, attack speed, dash and final attack. Graphics are cartoonish and funky and I quite liked the concept. We give this game an 8.2 out of 10.
