  • Glu Mobile is a name you’ve heard quite a bunch of times on our site, since they’re one of the major Android game makers after all. One of their most popular products is Contract Killer, with the Contract Killer Zombies spinoff. Both have received recent updates and the CK Zombies 2 title has been reviewed by us, after being tested on the Acer CloudMobile handset.

CK Zombies 2 is available for free, it takes up 500 MB of storage and it doesn’t offer the same static shooting gameplay as the predecessor, opting instead for a third person action with automatic shooting. We switched off the automatic shooting, since it used up too many bullets and I advise you to go with manual controls instead. The game allows you to control Evelyn, the protagonist of the title, a feminine character that reminds me of the good old days of the Resident Evil games.

She’ll wield shotguns, SMGs, snipers riffles, baseball bats and axes and dispatch as many zombies as possible. The creatures are divided into throwers, big green monsters who throw green goo at you, big fat zombies that suicide/detonate near you and kill you, average zombies (male and female), zombies with bulletproof vests and many more. The 3D graphics are pretty basic and repetitive and the environment reminds me of a dumbed down Dead Trigger. There are a lot of purchases to make, as usual, but the money is pretty easy to earn from regular missions. There’s also a Survival mode, with theoretically infinite waves of enemies that will try to take your base.

The game may be fun, but it’s plagued by sudden camera turns and some control issues, so that’s why we give it a 7 out of 10. You can get it from here.
