  • A few months ago Cyanogen announced that it will be offering the Boxer Gmail-style app the stock email option on Cyanogen OS 12. Now the new calendar app from Boxer is being offered as stock too on future Cyanogen releases.

Boxer is a company known for making Google app replacements, for people who don’t want to link their Google accounts to the apps. This Calendar from Boxer has a Google Calendar vibe, from the icon to the UI. Events are color coded and shown as blocks and the solution is integrated with the company’s email app. This means you’ll have the calendar at hand, when you receive an invite in your inbox.

Boxer’s calendar app will be preloaded on Cyanogen OS devices, that will be released over the next months. In the meantime you can download it from Google Play, iTunes, or from Boxer itself. The app we talk about here uses the Android native calendar backend for syncing and supports Exchange Server.
