Squadron Bullet Hell Review (Philips Xenium i908): Old School Vertical Scrolling Ship Shooter Feels Nice, Kinda Hard Though (Video)

Squadron Bullet Hell is a game we played on the Philips Xenium i908 handset and there’s a video review below. This is an old school vertical shooter, with ships. You can alternate between them by tapping the screen and the idea is to keep the screen pressed to trigger the ship.
Each of the ships has a special power, like a laser ray, or some boomerangs, or spreading photon waves. As you proceed you will encounter enemy ships, that will fire a lot of projectiles towards you and I do mean, A LOT. The background feels like a germ culture put under the microscope. You will control 4 ships and once one goes down, you move on to the next.
Each ship’s attack can be upgraded, by collecting a powerup. Since you keep the screen pressed on the screen you also have to swipe around to move the ship, but be careful, since you may run out of screen and die. You can get a shield, bigger firing power and more powers. There’s also a special bomb power that destroys everything on the screen.
Squadron Bullet Hell gets an 8.6 out of 10 from us and you can download it from here.
