Dead Among Us Review (LG AKA): More Entertaining Than Expected, Still Not Much Variety of Levels (Video)

Dead Among Us is the latest game in a huge series of zombie-based titles, this time a static first person shooter, that involves a bow and arrow, instead of the usual firearm. We played the game on the LG AKA handset and found the story and background music to be nice.
Since this is a freemium, we have an energy system with 10 units available and when they’re out we have to wait for them to recharge. You feel like Daryl from Walking Dead in this static FPS, with levels that last a few dozens of seconds. You have to shoot arrows at zombies, but the arrows are in limited number, so you have to calculate your hits.
You can swipe in the upper area of the screen to change the view angle and swipe on that black joystick to zoom into the target and then release the screen to shoot the arrow. 3 powerups are available, like slowing down time, a radar for zombies and a killshot arrow. 95 quests are available here, 10 locations and upgrades for various parts of your bow, including the string and sight.
The last arrow is shot in slow motion, just like in the famous Glu static shooters. Missions are very repetitive, but graphics, story and music are decent. We give this game a 7.7 out of 10 and you can download it here.
