  • We let you know here that eBay was releasing a new version of its Android app and when that happened, the software was plagued by issues apparently. Although at first sight it brought a nicer UI and better visual experience, as well as new features, version 2.0 has been recalled and replaced with a normal update to the previous version of the app.

All we know is that eBay is claiming they had an issue with their latest Android app and sent their regrets to the customers. Now the latest version in the Play Store is the 1.8.3.5 one, replacing the recalled v 2.0. If you have trouble with the 2.0 you need to uninstall it and reinstall the 1.8 update. The 2.0 update offers stuff like finding cars, trucks, motorcycles and compatible parts and accessories in USA alone. The navigation was also simplified throughout the app and you could view the bidding history on an item.

The problem of the eBay app comes just a week or two after Facebook had to shamefully admit it did a very poor job with the latest update of its Android app. Developers were supposedly punished by having to use the crappy app for an entire week, it was that bad! Meanwhile, the iOS releases are just fine… What’s happening with big Android apps folks?! Go get the eBay for Android 1.8 here.
