Edge of Tomorrow Review (Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2): Short, Repetitive… Messy (Video)

Edge of Tomorrow is a brand new sci fi movie starring Tom Cruise, that recently entered the cinemas and while opinions about it have been divided, the associated mobile game is certainly a letdown. I’ve tested the game with the same name on the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and you should know this title is available for free.
The graphics are good and we’re dealing with a first person shooter staring a well equipped soldier who has to die and reswpan infinitely till he reaches his goal. The game is peppered with sequences from the movie and the weapons’ effects are pretty decent. The aliens are all over the place, rolling around freely and unable to die when shot by the main character’s comrades.
Once you shoot at the creatures, they die, but usually they have to be on top of you to be deceased. There’s also the random missile from the sky ready to end your life and you also have checkpoints every 100 meters or so. The goal here? Go 500 meters unharmed, have Emily Blunt’s character join you and reach the goal. That’s about it… a 10 minute play without heart or appeal.
The game gets a 5.5 out of 10 from me and apparently the map changes every day…You can download the game here, but I wouldn’t if I were you.
