Evernote for Android Gets Updated With Business Card Scanning and More Features

Evernote is rolling out a fresh update for its Android client, that adds a few useful features, including the ability to scan business cards using the app. The process is very simple and intuitive, simply involving taking a picture of the business card.
The Evernote app is able to auto populate all of the required contact fields with no problem. Then you can easily call, email or text the person you need to do business with and there are links inside the Evernote app to make the process quick and painless. Aside from business card scanning, the Evernote for Android update improves the Work Chat feature, now allowing people to share notes and notebooks from within the app.
You can also chat with the people from the team you’re working with. You can also give view or edit permissions when you share a single note, see when and what others are editing in your account and more. I should also mention that the business card scanning is only a perk for Evernote Premium users and that is associated with a $45 a year cost. However, there’s a promotion these days, with a free year of unlimited business card scanning available by connecting a Linkedin account to Evernote.
