  • It appears that Facebook is headed towards a flatter design, or at least so it would appear, judging by the latest test build of the Android Facebook app. There’s a revamped design here that you can see for yourselves, by downloading the APK here.

Twitter already moved on to a flatter design and FB follows suit now. Facebook Messenger also got a recent redesign and by the way what you’re seeing here is pre release software, so bugs are to be expected, as well as less stability. The new version adds a title banner to the left side of the action bar, where the hot dog menu is right now.

There’s also a search icon to be found on the right side and underneath it we see 5 icons placed in the area where the likes of Status, Photo and Check In buttons were before. There are icons for the News Feed now, friend requests, status updates, notifications and menu in that area. So, what do you think of the new Facebook?
