Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Review (Sony Xperia Z3): Less Overhyped, More Quality (Video)

Five Nights at Freddy’s received a review from us about a month ago and today we tackle the follow-up game, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. We played the game on the Sony Xperia Z3 handset and paid 3 dollars for the title.
The first game was a bit overhyped and the only good thing about it was the concept. The new game is scarier, has no more doors and no more light switches to flip. Actually there are two on the sides, but they’re not as crucial as before. You get 10 animatronic creatures who want to kill you and the same annoying phone messages left by your boss. The game’s concept is simple: you’re a night guardian, who has to protect a Chuck E Cheese-like location from night time troubles.
The 10 creatures will roam around at night and in order to keep them at bay, you have to watch their movements on about a dozen of video cameras. You can also flash a light onto the camera footage or onto the hallway in front of you. Once the baddies come for you, you can either flash the light at them or put on a Freddy Fazzbear mask and pass as one of them. Both can be circumvented by some critters who are invulnerable.
There’s also a Pinocchio type of monster who will deactivate your flashlight with his giggles. The game is based on jump scares and it really manages to keep your blood pressure up and scare you a bit. It’s better than the predecessors, harder and more stressful, but also better made and more random. We give it a 9 out of 10 and you can download it here.
