  • Cyanogen has become a full fledged company this week, after getting $7 million this week and today they’re in the news again. This time the topic of discussion is Focal, a beta app that has hit the Play Store after it was pulled from CyanogenMod.

The developer who made the app, Guillaume Lesniak decided to pull the software from the open source ROM and offer it for free on the Google Play Store. It’s available for free and it includes a lot of features. It offers the option of taking burst shots, set timers, change scene modes and play with a variety of effects and light settings.

There’s an Auto Awesome tool included and an alternative for PhotoSphere going as PicSphere. Focal is all open source and it comes with a photo and video mode, a panorama mode, a review drawer and useful widgets. You can download the app from here, but beware of bugs, typical for betas.
