Frontline Commando 2 Review (HTC One M8): Excellent Graphics for a Cover Shooter (Video)

Frontline Commando 2 is a great game by cover shooter standards. It’s no Mass Effect Infiltrator, but it does the trick of keeping you glued to the screen, why Glu tempts you with in app purchases. I tested this game on the HTC One M8 and what came out was the following review:
The game is available for free and it’s totally like Robocop, also made by Glu and launched a few months ago. The graphics are 3D and look very nice, from the urban background to the various flashing lights and even the sky is well made. You get upgrades with timers, a timer for PvP combat, so all the typical freemium mechanisms are here.
You play as one warrior, armed with a shotgun or sniper or other killer weapons, but you also have two team mates backing you up. They will basically throw grenades or heal you at a press of a button. Those team mates can be upgraded as you progress and so can the weapons you have. Each mission has a set of goals, like a certain number of headshots or a time limit and completing them brings you extra dough.
There are 50 missions available in Frontline Commando 2 and things get really tough around the third collection of levels. There are also boss fights, with hardcore gangsters or flying drones to name just two. We even have cutscenes and a story and generally you’ll spend about 2 or 3 minutes playing a mission, so this title is easy to play on the go, during a commute for example.
You can do some grinding here if you want to survive the later missions or you can pony up the dollars for those good looking weapons. PVP mode allows you to play about 3 matches before your energy is out and usually faces you against very tough players. We give this game a 9.2 out of 10 and you can download it here.
