Galaxy on Fire 2 HD Review: Exquisite Space Sim With Orchestral OST (Video)

One of the best free games on Android is Galaxy On Fire 2 HD, if you’re into space simulators. The title was tested by me on an Allview Viva Q8 quad core tablet and this title that started off as a Tegra exclusive has now spread on all the major platforms.
This is basically an action RPG shooter made by Fishlabs, one that prides itself with high end visuals and an open world to explore. You get to complete missions, then fly around the vast space, upgrade your ship and even do a bit of piracy and trading. There are over 30 star systems in the game and over 100 planets plus space stations to interact with.
Over 50 customizable ships are included and hundreds of weapons and powerups, too. You can also do side missions, aside from the main story ones and we’ve got detailed 3D models of both ships and space stations. The sound is available in 3D and it’s majestic and orchestral, maybe a bit too good for this game, if I can say so. There are two expansion packs that you can purchase in the game and one of the things I enjoyed the most here were the lighting effects.
The space dog fighting is kind of tough, but once you do the proper upgrades, it’s all fine. The game is kind of slow paced, so it will keep you busy for weeks on end. We give a 9 out of 10 and you can download it here.
