  • Google Analytics is a world famous tool for measuring web traffic, user behaviour and ad campaigns, plus much more. As the desktop service evolves, so does the mobile one and thus Google Analytics for Android reached version 2.0, available now on the Play Store.

The update is mostly a visual one, integrating new graphics and new menus. The UI has been redone with a styling that reminds me of the card style and Google Now. There’s that typical side menu available on the left and a lot of functionality from the desktop service has been kept. The app is able to load the latest site by default, so there’s no need to select between tracked sites every time you open the app.

For now, the UI of Google Analytics for Android 2.0 isn’t that good on tablets and the real time visitor count is hard to make out. The rollout is relatively slow and people are reporting some missing features, so be patient! You can download the app from here.
