  • It would appear there’s a new Google Camera app out there, version 2.4.022, that comes with Material Design elements. Don’t expect mind blowing features, but instead you’ll get new icons and animations to make the look more minimal.

The update is officially rolling out to the Play Store and looks pretty much like what we knew from the Android L preview. There’s also a very cool feature included here, the ability to remotely trigger the shutter via an Android Wear device. You will get a notification allowing you to review the photo taken after you’ve triggered it remotely. The default icon has been made flatter and the animation settings are now also tweaked.

The transitions are more fluied between menus and the settings area of the camera app. You can download the updated Google Camera here and apparently new features could come up starting next week, when Google releases Android 5.0 Lollipop. Keep in mind that the app only works with Android 4.4 and later versins, plus you may be required to restart the device to make it work.
