  • Can you believe it’s been a year since Google launched Chromecast already? Well, they’re celebrating the product’s first birthday and they’re also throwing in a special offer for the occasion. The streaming dongle has improved a lot and received many new features, including the ability to get casts from smartphones and tablets.

Now let’s get to the goods: the guys from Mountain View want to thank their customers by offering them three free months of Google Play Music All Access, starting today and lasting till September 30th. The company has been adding new features to the Chromecast and updating it regularly. With this fresh announcement, they also teased a new feature: the ability to beam content even when away from WiFi.

Customizable homescreens are also a thing that’s coming soon enough. Regarding the special offer above, you must not already be an All Access subscriber and the offer is only available in the US. With features like watching video playlists from the YouTube app to the TV or casting photos to the big screen, Chromecast is quickly become the most loved tiny accessory of the decade.
