Google Introduces Inbox, Sort of Like Gmail… But Not Quite (Video)

Google has introduced something new called Inbox, which is sort of like Gmail but not quite. It all starts with the premise that emails are overwhelming and they need to be better organized.
Inbox works for the user and lets him/her add his own reminders and use message bundles plus highlight important stuff. This service expands on the categories that Gmail introduced last year, making it easier to deal with more types of mail at once. One can fit the purchase receipts or bank statements in the same folder together, so they can be reviewed quickly.
You can also teach Inbox to adapt to the way you work, by choosing which emails you would like to see bundled together. There’s also Highlights, that shows the key info from important messages, like flight schedules, event info and photos and documents mailed to friends and family. Then there’s Reminders, Assists and Snooze, basically your to dos just the way you like it.
Inbox also aids you with crossing major to do stuff from the list with Assists, that are pieces of info needed to get things done. If you write a Reminder to call a store, the Inbox will assist you and show the number and tell you when it’s open. This also applies with restaurant reservations, so Inbox will show you a map, or book a flight for you. You can get started with Inbox by receiving an invitation via email, or you can email Google at [email protected] to get the invitation ASAP.
