Google Maps for Android Updated to Version 9.3, Gets Sharable Directions and More

After updating its Google Now Launcher and Google Translate, the big G has decided to also give Google Maps a bump. Google Maps thus reaches version 9.3 and the update is quite a minimal one, so don’t expect anything big.
Google Maps gets sharable directions on this occasion, meaning that an user who loads up directions to a location will be able to share the directions to anyone else. These directions are shared as a list of instructions, together with a link to view the best route in the current traffic. Google Glass gets special support here, with the ability to share directions to the smart glasses included in Google Maps 9.3.
Users will also be able to dismiss the GPS dialog that pops up if the user’s location settings aren’t proper for Maps. The app also includes new permissions, like access to Bluetooth settings and devices, as well as the ability to run at startup. Strings from inside the app seem to indicate location specific contextual notifications, as well.
You can get the APK here or via the Play Store here, if it’s ready.
