  • Google+ is ready to bring you an end of the year surprise, by creating your own Auto Awesome video, summing up all the cool memories you gathered over the past 12 months. They’ve announced that they’ll automatically generate Year in Review videos for select users soon.

If you’ve been faithful Google+ user you should qualify to get this gift. The year end video will pop up in your account over the following week and it’s all done randomly as far as I know. Google is saving us some time and the effort of having to pick the photos and videos ourselves. This will probably convince a few people to activate the auto upload feature and have fun with the Auto Awesome in a few weeks with the resulting shots.

It would be nice to see an Auto Awesome of the pics gathered over a few years, maybe a decade, since that would be stunning, but not even Google+ is that old. There’s a slight bit of concern here, since I don’t think some of us are comfortable with their pics being taken and shaped into a video, but those are few compared to the people who will enjoy it.
