  • One of the products that Google announced yesterday, among others was the Google Play Games app/service. Basically, this does what the Game Center does on iOS: unifies the leaderboards, friends list and game lists for your comfortable gaming experience.

During the event yesterday, Google did mention its new gaming hub, Play Games, that’s available right now on Android by downloading the app here. It adds multiplayer, scoreboards, achievements and allows you to connect to friends. Through it you can discover new games, track your scores, engage in multiplayer sessions with gamers from all over the world and more.

You can compare scores with other players and I sure hope that the app won’t be as stressful as the Game Center on iOS with all of its notifications. Play Games is available on devices with Android 2.2 and up, so no problem here. It also allows you to see what your Google+ contacts have been playing.
