Google Testing Improved “Explore Nearby” Feature from Google Maps

Google is testing a new and improved “Explore Nearby” feature in Google Maps, following the release of a brand new Google Maps app released last week. You can access the Nearby feature by tapping on “Explore Nearby”, but now with novelty.
The function usually lets you pick a type of business, like a bar or restaurant and get a list of locations. The new Explore Nearby gets its own button on the bottom right of the map. One can still pick from categories, but now they’re split into more centralized groups. There are also points of interest now and a drop down area to select the time for even more specialized suggestions.
Basically, a diner at dinner time is perfect, while a breakfast place before 11 am is very nice. Some users have already received this feature, that’s most likely out of the dogfooding stage at Mountain View. Future location-based features are expected to come with the next iterations of Google Maps, not only Explore Nearby. Did you get the feature? How are the suggestions?
