  • Rockstar has confirmed that GTA San Andreas will be arriving to Android tablets and handsets next month, a pretty nice surprise for Christmas. This means that we’ll get at least PS2 graphics if not better on high end devices.

The original game dates from back in 2004 and this title will come with a graphics upgrade, through remastering, with dynamic shadows and loads of detail. The color palette will also be improved and the color and character models will be upgraded. The new GTA title features contextual controls, so the buttons will be shown only when you need them.

GTA San Andreas will have a new checkpoint system implemented, it will come with controller support and it’s expected to arrive on both Android and Amazon Kindle. The original title features 3 main areas: Los Santos, inspired by L.A, San Fierro, based on San Francisco and Las Venturas, based on Las Vegas.
