  • The guys of XDA Developers have managed to bring forth installable files that bring HTC BlinkFeed on non HTC devices. BlinkFeed is one of the standout features from HTC phones, an aggregator of news, restaurant recommendations and more.

BlinkFeed is basically an extra homescreen, a Flipboard alternative, that shows info and articles as “live tiles”. It also displays statuses from social networks, videos shared by other users and much more. The process goes like this: first you install the BlinkFeed apps, all four of them and then you install the plugins you want for the needed content, like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and Linkedin.

The 4 APKs can be downloaded here and there’s an APK for the BlinkFeed main feature, the Service Pack, Weather and World Clock. The developer has also started working on porting the HTC Sense 7.0 BlinkFeed, which we can’t wait to see in action and it’ll probably happen in the following days.
