7D Mine Train Review (Huawei P8): Disney-themed Endless Runner With Dwarves in Mine Carts, Repetitive Gameplay (Video)

7D Mine Train is an Android game that’s inspired by an animated series made by Disney and based on the 7 dwarves in Snow White. The title is available for free on the Play Store and we tested it on the Huawei P8 handset.
It’s an endless runner played with mine carts, that the 7 dwarves are riding. You get to collect gems, use special powers, buy new carts and the whole environment you ride in looks like a big rollercoaster. Every once in a while the background changes, from an enchanted forest to a castle and other areas. The gameplay is rather dull and repetitive, since all you have to do is tap to jump and try to avoid falling into pits.
The gems you collect are used to unlock cool new carts, including one shaped like a magician’s hat, or a variety of powerups that boost your performance. Each dwarf has a set of mine carts, that can be unlocked, aside from the standard one. Also, each dwarf has a special power, that’s triggered after the meter at the left of the screen fills up.
Sleepy can float on the screen without the cart, while another dwarf calls animals to help. In your path there are obstacles, witches and more traps to stop you and hitting them equals a game over. There’s a soft rock music in the background, that’s a strange choice for this type of title. Powerups include Jump Jello, Parachute, Landing Boost, Double Jump and more.
This game is good for the kids, but rather boring, after a while. We give it a 7 out of 10 and you can download it from here.
