  • After Microsoft’s release of Office for iPad, the productivity suite has come to Android, where it’s available for free. Microsoft lets you use their software on both Android and the iPhone and if you’re a home customer, you can both edit and read documents.

And that’s without paying for an Office 365 subscription. The free app is actually meant to encourage users to adopt the desktop and iPad clients and maybe subscribe to the Office 365 service. The full name of the software is Microsoft Office Mobile, that’s been optimized for Android handsets. You can access, visualize end edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint files from anywhere, anytime.

The solution offers OneDrive storage integration and the ability to keep working on the documents you recently viewed on the PC, even if you’re on the go. One can also visualize and edit Office documents attached to emails and this app comes with support for diagrams, animations, illustrations, SmartArt and forms.

You will need to use a free Microsoft account to create, edit and save documents for home use. You can download the app here.
