NBA Live Mobile Review (Samsung Galaxy A7 2016): Most Fun I’ve Had With an EA Game in a Long While (Video)

Look, I’m a FIFA fan, a huge fan actually and I was surprised at the quality of the game NBA Live Mobile, that I played on the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016). It’s available for free in the Play Store and while at first sight it may seem complex, it’s actually pretty straightforward.

It has great graphics and initially you’ll find it very hard to win matches, particularly since your players are inferior to the ones you’re playing against. Launched in February, this game lets you control players with a thumbstick on the left side of the screen and then you have the main action buttons on the right side. There’s a Guard button and Block button, used when you’re on a defensive, plus the switch and shoot buttons, used mostly when you attack.

The shoot button triggers a meter and you’ll have to react quickly to make the shot precise and even then you may miss it. Players are available as playing cards and you have to unlock new ones by paying currency or getting card packs as gifts. PvP is available here, as well as regular seasons and each match has 4 quarters, each lasting about 2 minutes.

Graphics are spectacular, even the backgrounds and of course player animations are top notch. Everything is expensive here, so you may feel tempted to go to IAPs. There are also the so called Live Events, that are basically mini games, including dunking or shooting from every position in a time limit or coming back from behind in the last quarter. Players and teams aren’t exactly the real ones, so this is more of a FUT situation, only with basketball and a fantasy team of card players.

We’ve also got a Stamina meter, that lets you play only about a half dozen of games, till the energy runs out. Games take place in a 5 on 5 setup and the title requires Internet connection at all time. This is a must play title for NBA buffs and not only, so that’s why I gave it a 9.2 out of 10. Keep in mind it may be frustrating or hard, but it’s also incredibly fun.
