  • It’s not the “Back to School” time yet, but it’s nice to know there’s a nifty educational app out there, one that kids will love. I’m talking about the game Skoolbo Core Skills, that was recently launched. This is the world’s largest educational game ever, available on Google Play for Android tablets, but also on the PC, Mac, iTunes and Samsung Apps.

The Kindle Fire will also get this game in the coming weeks. Behind Skoolbo is a team of educators and developers from all over the globe and the Skoolbo company is the creator of the software. The company is headquartered in Singapore and its eLearning programs focus on improving foundation reading and numeracy skills. The 3D racing game shown in the video below is an example of such learning process. It gives you fun things to do and at the same time you’re entertained, something that kids will love.

The title requires Android 2.3 and up, is available for free and takes up quite a bit of space for an education app: 161MB. The target audience of the Skoolbo Core Skills game are 4 to 10 year olds and there are also multiplayer sections available, with beautiful 3D worlds, individual avatars and an efficient rewards system. You can download the app from here.
