  • A lot of rumors have been going around lately about Google getting ready a new version of the Google Play Store for Android devices. The upcoming release has also been associated with the decisions to pull all ad-blocker related apps and about 60.000 others that may have been going over Google’s anti-spam policy on the Play Store.

Today Google has made it official that it’s going to be version 4.0 for the Google Play Store that is going to be released. In this regard the developer has announced that the rollout will begin starting today, for the new version that offers a redesigned interface and great improvements in terms of speed and reliability.

The APK for the Play Store version 4.0.25 has reached several handsets and Android Police has managed to pull it and make it available for all those not willing to wait. The new version can be installed with relative ease over the old one and it should work on any device, no matter the hardware. You will benefit from all the improvements Google has brought in terms of UI but don’t expect any new services to be available if not offered before for your country. Download the apk here.
