  • Last summer Nokia made an interesting announcement, debuting the Z Launcher, that caught on fast on Android. This piece of software would change the way you work on an Android device, but in a good way. Z Launcher already passed one million activations last month and this week it finally got a much requested feature: Android widget support.

The update is available right here on the Play Store and it’s an answer to user feedback. The launcher comes with a single screen, but its unique draw is the fact that it allows you to launch applications or contacts by drawing their name. Just start drawing the first 2 or 3 letters of an app and it will pop up fast. Adding widgets makes the launcher more modern.

The update integrates a new page for the widgets, that can be accessed by swiping to the left from the homescreen. You will only get a single page for widgets apparently. Nokia claims that having too many widgets can become annoying, just like having multiple pages.
