  • Here’s another Nova Launcher update that takes after the latest Android release. We had a previous update that brought the preliminary Android L elements to Nova Launcher and now the 3.2 update brings the Lollipop icons and folder animations.

Even Nexus devices still have some time to wait before the update is out, but you can go ahead and perform the update from right here if you’re curious. Nova Launcher 3.2 will include Lollipop elements such as folder animations, scroll indicator, icon theme and a variety of other improvements. TeslaCoil’s Kevin Barry has been able to pull a crazy stunt: make all the cool things work on devices as old as Android 4.0.

We would have expected Android 4.3 to be the minimum requirement here, so the folks with ICS will surely be happy to get some of the action. The new folder animations aren’t similar to those found in the new Google Now Launcher, but they’re close enough. Barry is also working on getting the same app drawer animation as Lollipop, but that will take some time.
