Mad Aces Review (Huawei Honor 7): Endless Runner Filled With Spikes, Addictive, But Nothing we Haven’t Seen Before (Video)

There are endless runners in which you see the character from behind and ones where you see the character from the profile. In the latter category we can find Mad Aces, which we reviewed below. It’s available for free in the Play Store and we played it on the Huawei Honor 7.
Coming from Bulkypix, the game lets you unlock new characters, in Crossy Road fashion, let’s say. There’s Captain Nemo, an Asian wise man and many, many more. Each character has its own animations, sound bites and catch phrases. You can swipe up and down to move between squares and have to avoid tiles with spikes. If you die you can watch a video to resurrect and keep playing.
It’s an addictive game, with pretty nice graphics, especially when it comes to the destruction of blocks. You can also use fireballs to destroy things in front of you and those will be gathered as you progress. Launched at the end of 2015, the game has very nice acoustics and graphics can be set to high, low or ultra, so it can look even hotter than in our review.
In the end the game loses a bit of charm once you see you can’t get past a certain wall of difficulty. Fun for about an afternoon and it gets from us an 8 out of 10.
