  • Tower defense gets its definition changed by the game Fortress Fury, that we tested on the device Allview X2 Soul Pro. This game is available for free in the Play Store and you can check out its review below. The idea here is to build a tower and upgrade it, plus fire at the enemy’s tower.

There’s a ballista and the ability to fire thunder and flames at the enemy’s tower. Using resources you can totally tweak your tower and change its layout and materials. Block points are spent once you place your blocks, so you have to be smart about this. There’s stone, wood, copper and brick to use as materials here. All battles take place in real time, versus real gamers, so there’s no offline play here.

You can unlock new cannons, special abilities and craft materials as you win more fights and get more resources. Extra powers include null magic or slow time. The way of doing battle here is to properly calculate your trajectory, just like in the older Angry Birds titles. The thing is that on a smaller screen this task is harder, so a phablet or tablet may come in handy.

The aim is to get to the enemy’s gem and fire your weapon at it. Shields can also be used and there’s also healing involved. When the battle nears its end, you are left with an archer that’s invulnerable and gets upgraded every few minutes or so. The game is very fun and there’s much variation in the design of towers. We give this game a 9.6 out of 10 and you can download it here.
