  • Nitrome has been on a roll lately, proving that they’re much more than sort of a Ketchapp with one hit wonders. One of their titles we tested is called Platform Panic and it’s a free game available on the Play Store and tested on the Chuwi Vi8 tablet.

This is a platformer with one tap gameplay and randomly generated levels at every play. Debuting in December 2014, the game has 16 bit graphics and varied level designs, that will make it impossible to prepare a strategy ahead of time. You swipe up, left or right and try as best you can to avoid critters and traps. Enemies and traps will get in the way and you can get coins to buy new heroes.

This is a hard game, make no mistake and most of your sessions will end in seconds. You can unlock heroes like knights, plumbers and more crazy creeps. The character will automatically walk to the left or right, so you have to be snappy about your control. Revives are available by watching ads and among the things to keep an eye on are robots and spikes, plus elevators and laser shooters.

Platform Panic is addictive and fun, plus original, believe it or not. The retro vibe will be loved by many gamers and the element of surprise too. We give this game a 9 out of 10 and you can download it here.
