Power Rangers Dash Review (Huawei Honor 6 Plus): Endless Runner With a Ton of Characters, Unfair Gameplay (Video)

Power Rangers Dash is a free endless runner available on the Play Store, that we tested on the Huawei Honor 6 Plus phablet. It features over 50 unique Power Rangers and it’s a side runner, that’s split into levels, so not exactly endless.
You can summon a Mega Zord by using a certain powerup or get shields and magnets on the way. You will lead a team of three rangers and each hit you take kills one of them. Each ranger has a special power or weapon and some use ranged weapons, others spears and swords. There are traps to avoid by jumping or enemies to kill and in the later levels you will have to hit the enemies more than once to kill them.
The game is colourful and loud, just like the Power Rangers cartoons and there’s an energy meter here, making the title a freemium. Rangers can be leveled up and can get new abilities and status boosts by associating colourful balls to their equipment. You can also sell or exchange rangers in the game and buy the powerups you will run into on the track.
There are only two buttons on screen, the attack button and the jump, so the running is automatic. The game is hugely repetitive and at around level 4 it gets very hard and unfair, with enemies and traps being overlapped, so it’s almost impossible to avoid them. Power Rangers Dash is only fun if you’re a die hard Power Rangers fan, otherwise it’s a bit annoying.
We give it a 7 out of 10 and you can download it here.
