  • Real Drift is a game I tested on the OnePlus One handset and this is totally not your typical racing game. It’s priced at 1 dollar and I have to say from the start that I suck at drifting. This is one hard game, that’s for sure and also a bit underwhelming at times.

Real Games is its developer and there are apparently over 6 million downloads registered for this title, that was released on iOS in September. This is a 3D drifting game that’s pretty good looking and features control methods like tilt/virtual buttons and a ton of customization in the control area. You can use a slider for acceleration, among others and get some assist in drifting and steering.

You can customize cars, rims, rim colors and car colors. The engine sound is nice for each car and the aspect I probably liked the most was the dubstep and drum’n’bass soundtrack. Control is pretty poor, in spite of all the aid you get and once again I suck at drifting, so maybe controls work for some of you. You will be racing on docks, mountain, speedway, Tokyo and among the cars available there’s Nissan, Audi and Honda.

Real Drift is fun, although frustrating, but there’s not much else to do here but try to find the proper sequence between braking, accelerating and steering. We give this game an 8 out of 10 and you can download it here.
