Slayin Review (Sony Xperia E4G): would have been solid gold on the Gameboy, a side scrolling RPG with great potential (Video)

Slayin is a pretty original and old school game, available for free in the Play Store. We tested it on the Sony Xperia E4g and had a blast with this endless action RPG. It has retro graphics and 6 playable characters.
The on screen controls are very simple: left/right and a jump button. Enemies come in waves and you can destroy them by simply touching them. They come from all directions and each level has a boss battle, including a minotaur or imp for example. Playable classes include the knight, wizard, knave, archer, tanner and ninja. You can endlessly loot weapons, armor and get new spells.
There are over 100 quests available here and 3 game modes, as well as 8 bit graphics. You will get XP and level up very fast, a few times per level actually. There’s a nice chiptune OST in the background and the title is very fun, not leaving you a second to rest, since the enemies come in huge quantities. There’s a lot of content here and each character unlocked has its own abilities.
Some have spells, other swords and then there’s the fast ninja. We give Slayin a 8.7 out of 10 and we recommend it for people who liked GameBoy titles. You can download it here.
