  • Reckless Racing 3 is the latest title in a series that doesn’t exactly deal with serious racing, but rather with those type of challenges you see in muddy little prairie towns. The cars are rusty buckets that look like redneck material and you’ll even be driving trucks, full sized ones.

The game is priced at $3 and we played it on the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Graphics are very good for this type of game and the action is shown from the top, above the cars. There are 60 events available, split into 9 seasons and there’s also an Arcade mode with 24 challenges. The game is made by Pixelbite and features complex graphics, destructible environments, plus 3 types of challenges: races, drifting and Gymkhana. The later is basically a test of driving skills, as the goal is to not hit anything in your path, be it barrel, side panel, boxes and walls.

You can slide on liquid, race in the dirt and dust and play on 36 tracks, in 6 different environments. There are 28 cars available here and the game also includes in app purchases, if the money achieved from racing isn’t enough. The controls are quite tough, but you’ll get used to them pretty fast. I also have to mention that each car drivers differently and some have better handling or speed compared to others.

You’ll have 5 rivals to race against and the biggest lack here is the multiplayer. You can buy new vehicles, or tweak the ones you have with new rims, or color choices. You will also have obstacles in your path, like boxes, barrels and other things like that. Lightning is good and an interesting concept in Reckless Racing 3 is the dynamic difficulty, that makes the game harder as you play better and makes it easier if you seem to struggle.

We give this title a 9 out of 10 and you can download it here.
