Small and Furious: RC Car Race Review (Allview X3 Soul Mini): Relative Physics, Relatively Fun (Video)

I’ve played my share of games with crash test dummies and strong car impacts, but Small and Furious: RC Car Race is one of the simpler ones. It’s available for free in the Play Store and I played it on the Allview X3 Soul Mini handset.
It’s a side scrolling car-based endless runner, only that it’s segmented in levels, that have a time limit. It’s a platformer, too and along the way there are quite a few traps and reasons to get annoyed. Trampolines for example will ruin your day and going downhill and falling onto them over and over again will be a bummer.
There are physics-based acrobatics to perform, 4 environments to discover and HD 3D graphics in the mix. 81 tracks are available, we’ve got nitro boosts and jump pads and boosters. 18 characters are included and you can upgrade one of the 8 cars you can get. The game is a bit hard and frustrating, especially when failing doesn’t depend on your skills.
Graphics are nice and you’ll get coins with each level you play, coins spent upgrading the car. Luckily there are some checkpoints here and there, to annoy you less with the gameplay. The fun thing is that the dummy gets smashed to pieces, in lots of ways and modes, so that’s fun. There’s an endless mode, for people who want more of a challenge.
We give this game an 8 out of 10 and you can download it here.
