SSX 2013 Android Review: Good Looking Snowboard Simulator With a Ton of Tricks Available (Video)

I’ve had the chance to play with the LG G Flex for a few days and enjoyed some games on it, including the SSX 2013 title from EA. Ported straight from the modern gaming consoles, this is a snowboarding simulator with a strong pedigree.
I’ve seen it available for free download on the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra and LG G Flex, but only on those devices and only through their own app stores. The game takes up 1.2 GB of storage and allows you to race, do tricks and face crazy tree-ridden slopes while snowboarding in style. You can purchase or unlock new armors, boards and powerup your boarders.
You can also level up and perform a lot of combos with swipe gestures on the screen. The best combos are triggered when grinding on a rail and you’ll often come into such areas. There are also competitions, that involve staying alive in a maze of trees, in death valleys. A cool mechanic of the game is the rewind, that allows you to go back in time and redo a stunt or simply avoid falling off of a Tricky series of combos.
The graphics look pretty good, although there’s the occasional texture fail and the soundtrack is A plus, filled with dubstep tunes you’d usually hear in a NFS game. We give this game a solid 9.5 out of 10.
