  • The famous SwiftKey keyboard just became better, as the company behind it unveiled the SwiftKey Cloud service this week. This is basically a new suite of services that improve the way SwiftKey works on devices.

The Cloud is part of SwiftKey 4.2 Beta and now the keyboard can learn your typing patterns over time and adjust to everything you give it. From displayed words to the software’s guesses about the keys you tap, everything evolves here. The bad thing is that once you lose your phone, the long process of getting accustomed to your typing is lost.

Well not any more, since the info is now backed in the cloud and the experience can be transplanted on another handset. Then you can sync it with all your Android devices, including new ones. Swiftkey will also allow you to sync Gmail, Facebook and Twitter accounts, telling the keyboard what phrases you use often. RSS integration is also supported and there’s even a new trending phrases system.

SwiftKey 4.2 is now up for download for free right here.
