The latest update to the NFL Mobile app makes available features related to the drafting, that beings on Thursday, April 25th. If you’re a Verizon customer you can use the app to follow news and updates, including custom team tracking tools. The real appeal here is the access to the NFL Network live stream. Keep in mind that you still need to pay $5 a month for Verizon’s NFL package, in order to access live video, but that doesn’t affect your mobile data limit.

The app has new closed captioning for live videos, which is an useful features for users with hearing issues and people who don’t have a pair of earphones at work and want to hide out from the boss. The app requires Android 2.1 and up and takes up 12 MB of storage. It’s available for free and you can download it from here. Keep in mind that due to restrictions video playback via HDMI is not supported.
