Wikipad Debuts Gamevice Detachable Game Controller for Android Devices

  • There’s been a ton of iPhone game controllers launched over the past years, but Android devices have also been getting some love, with the latest release of this sort being the Wikipad Gamevice, pictured below.

    Following up on accessories from Logitech and Moga, this newcomer is a detachable controller, similar to those made for the iPhone. It encloses your Android device and only allows access to the screen. Wikipad has created what looks like a comfortable and familiar controller, with dual analog sticks, a D Pad, 4 analog action buttons and L1/R1 and L2/R2 analog buttons.

    No idea when the Gamevice will be released or what devices it will support. Also, the price is a mystery right now and sadly Wikipad won’t have a prototype ready to show at CES. With mobile gaming really taking off like now, I can’t see this product not succeeding in the future.
